Do We Have To Move All Of Our Old Email Lists To The NCOA Crossroads Community: Place to learn, share and collaborate with others on improving the lives of older Americans

Q. Do we have to move all of our old email lists to the Community Network?

A. No, not at all. The Community Network is optional, and while we hope all of our community will find it useful, it would be unrealistic to require participation or to expect that people would desert their private email lists, especially informal ones. That said, though, many of us will find it more convenient to do our work in the Community Network environment where we know that all participants will be Members, our email messages will be guaranteed secure and free of unwanted advertisements, we will have space to share documents and files, and we will have the tools to do collaborative writing and project management at our fingertips. Plus, it will be much easier for new Members to find others with similar interests and needs to communicate with, whether down the street or across the planet.
